Yilwatda, Uzodimma to attend Nasarawa solidarity rally for Tinubu

The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Nentawe Yilwatda, and Governor Hope Uzodimma are among dignitaries expected to grace a mega solidarity rally in Nasarawa in support of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Abdullahi Sule.
Labaran Magaji, secretary to the state government, disclosed this at a press briefing on Tuesday in Lafia.
Mr Magaji, who is also the state coordinator of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, said the rally, scheduled for Thursday, would serve as a thank-you gesture to the President and the governor for what he described as their laudable reforms and governance strides.
He said Mr Yilwatda, alongside other top APC leaders, would also formally receive new members into the party at the event.
According to him, over 15,000 residents of the state are expected to participate in the rally, driven by appreciation for the policies and projects of the Tinubu and Sule administrations.
“As the state coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, I consulted widely with groups, aides of the governor and heads of agencies after reviewing the performance of President Tinubu and Governor Sule.
“We considered the reforms of the President, particularly the removal of fuel subsidy and the introduction of social interventions such as student loans and infrastructure development across sectors.
“It is important for beneficiaries of these policies, especially the people of Nasarawa State, to come together and express gratitude,” Mr Magaji said.
Mr Magaji said participants would converge at the State Secretariat before proceeding to Lafia Square, where the rally would be concluded.
Mr Magaji commended the Nasarawa governor for what he described as prudent management of the state’s resources, citing major infrastructure projects executed by the APC administration.
“The state secretariat, the dualised Shendam Road, the Lafia flyover and underpass, Akwanga underpass, as well as Keffi and Karu flyovers, were not in existence two years ago.
“This reflects good governance, which flows from the top,” he said.
