Zamfara APC hails Tinubu’s appointment of ex-deputy governor Anka as RHI coordinator

The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing a former deputy governor in the state, Mukhtar Anka, as the state Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).
This is contained in a statement in Gusau on Thursday by the state APC Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris.
Mr Anka was the deputy governor of the state between 2007 and 2011.
According to Mr Idris, the Zamfara State APC is highly honoured by the approval and appointment of Mr Anka as the state coordinator of RHI.
He said the appointment was indeed “most appropriately placed, especially bearing in mind that the nation is moving towards the 2027 general elections. Anka has unblinkingly remained a respected APC elder and leader who commands loyalty and dignity among people of the state, which we strongly believe will come into play in the discharge of his duties as a mobiliser.
“The Zamfara State APC leadership, therefore, wishes to once again immensely thank our amiable President Bola Tinubu for further downloading his confidence in Alhaji Mukhtar Anka. While congratulating the new appointee, we remain confident that he will not fail the nation nor the president in this regard.
“On behalf of all APC leaders and members in the state, we wish to congratulate the appointee and urge him to deploy his wealth of experience in the effective discharge of this new role.”
