Abubakar Nakwada, the secretary to the Zamfara government, said the recent donation of 10 new motorcycles to the Gusau Central Police Station was aimed at bolstering police patrols, especially in the hard-to-reach areas of Gusau metropolis. This was announced in a statement on Wednesday.

According to him, the donation was part of Governor Dauda Lawal’s administration’s commitment to protecting the lives and properties.

The SSG said the state government would also support the division in the routine refuelling of motorcycles to ensure effective service delivery.

“The gesture is part of the ongoing efforts of Governor Dauda Lawal’s administration towards fighting all forms of criminalities across the state,” he added.

He further said that Mr Lawal would continue to provide all that was required to the security formations across the state.

“By doing this, our security personnel have no excuse but to deliver good results,” Mr Nakwada stated.

The SSG added that the Zamfara government was currently rehabilitating and remodelling the Gusau central police station and the state command’s headquarters.
