Zone 17: AIG decorates zonal spokesperson, nine other senior officers
Abiodun Asabi, assistant inspector-general of police in charge of Zone 17, has decorated the zonal police public relations officer (PPRO), Adeoye Akeem, and nine other newly promoted senior officers.
Mr Asabi decorated the zonal PPRO, who was promoted from deputy superintendent of police (DSP) to superintendent of police (SP) and others at the zonal office on Wednesday in Akure.
The AIG commended the inspector-general of police (IG), Kayode Egbetokun, and the chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC) for identifying the personnel deserving of promotion.
“Today, we are decorating one officer from SP to chief superintendent of police (CSP); five DSP to SP; and four assistant superintendents of police (ASP) to DSP.
“I congratulate all the newly promoted officers and their families. I will also remind them that promotion comes with higher responsibility and expectations,” he said.
The promoted officers, who thanked the IGP for counting them worthy, promised to be of good conduct and perform their new duties diligently.
