2023 Presidency: Tinubu begs APC senators to support his ambition

Presidential aspirant Bola Tinubu on Wednesday met with lawmakers at the National Assembly, Abuja to beg for their support towards realising his ambition in 2023.
Speaking with the APC Senate caucus, Mr Tinubu stated that the purpose of the meeting was for him to seek counsel, partnership, and support of the lawmakers for his presidential ambition.
The former Lagos governor explained that he could not do it alone, so, he needed the support of the National Assembly members for him to actualise his dream of becoming the next Nigerian leader.
He stated further that having publicly announced his ambition and notified President Muhammadu Buhari of same, he also needed the support of the lawmakers to get the party’s nomination so he could succeed Mr Buhari.
Senate President Ahmed Lawan in his response to Mr Tinubu said the APC Senate caucus is a major pillar of the party which has shown loyalty and commitment to the ideals of the party, so, they are with him in the course of fighting for the unity of the party.
