2027: APC begins grassroots mobilisation in Eti-Osa East LCDA

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Eti-Osa East Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos, on Sunday inaugurated coordinators of the Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat (KOH) Consolidated Renewed Hope 2027.
The KOH was initiated to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and galvanise support for the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Ismal Azeez, the Lagos State Board of Trustees chairman of KOH Consolidated Renewed Hope 2027, described the exercise as a new beginning and a strong demonstration of the party’s commitment to securing victory for its governorship candidate and the party in the coming elections.
Mr Azeez, a former vice chairman of Eti-Osa East LCDA, said the mobilisation would secure victory for President Bola Tinubu’s second term, Mr Hamzat as the next governor of Lagos State, and all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
According to him, the inauguration is designed to deepen grassroots engagement and ensure that the vision and programmes of the KOH team reach every ward, household and community within Eti-Osa East LCDA.
He urged the newly inaugurated coordinators to see their appointments as a call to service rather than merely as titles.
“Leadership is not about titles alone, but about responsibility, service, loyalty and commitment to our great party.
“We charge the coordinators to work collectively towards victory for the APC at all levels. The success of the party will depend largely on effective mobilisation, communication, unity and commitment,” he said.
The BoT chairman said the coordinators had been entrusted with taking the KOH team’s values and vision to every ward and household in the LCDA.
He further urged them to build an inclusive political structure where youths and women were fully included and committed party members were given opportunities to contribute meaningfully.
The Elejigbo of Langbasa Land, Oba Azeez Badiru, represented by the Aro of Langbasa, High Chief Rufai Agbomabini, also charged the newly inaugurated coordinators to intensify efforts to encourage greater youth participation in the 2027 elections.
Mr Badiru commended the organisers for promoting youth involvement and urged young people to participate actively in the electoral process.
“We appeal to the youths to come out en masse and cast their votes for President Tinubu for continuity,” he said.
Also speaking, the state coordinator of KOH, Sanni Bamgbola, tasked the newly inaugurated team with delivering stronger grassroots mobilisation and ensuring victory for the APC in both the presidential and governorship elections.
Mr Bamgbola said youths had been actively carried along across communities, adding that many were already participating in the party’s mobilisation and campaign activities.
He said the KOH initiative was focused on communicating the achievements of the Tinubu administration and promoting its policies and programmes at the grassroots.
According to him, the movement also aims to consolidate the achievements of the present Lagos State administration under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu through the incoming administration of Mr Hamzat.
“We assure the President that Lagos youths are ready to cast their votes for him come 2027,” Mr Bamgbola said.
A community leader in Ajah, Chief Kazeem Odunlami, commended Mr Azeez for facilitating the inauguration, calling it an important step toward strengthening grassroots participation and youth inclusion.
Mr Odunlami expressed optimism that increased political participation would ensure that communities in Eti-Osa East received greater representation in government.
“We want our people here to become commissioners, special advisers and other top officials. That is why we are putting more effort into canvassing votes for the APC at the next elections,” he said.
Abiodun Adeyemi, speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated coordinators, thanked the party leaders for the confidence reposed in the team.
Mr Adeyemi pledged that the coordinators would work diligently, mobilise effectively and remain committed to securing victory for the APC in the community in the 2027 general elections.
