2027: Atiku appears before ADC presidential screening committee in Abuja

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has appeared on Wednesday appeared before the presidential screening committee of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The screening exercise was held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Mr Abubakar who arrived at the venue at about 12:20 p.m, spoke to journalists before exiting the hotel alongside his aides and supporters at about 2:30 p.m.

The former vice president was accompanied by a former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, ex-Attorney General of the Federation –Abubakar Malami, and a former minister of police affairs Maina Waziri. 

Mr Abubakar joined the ADC coalition alongside other political stalwarts in 2025 to challenge President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
