The Forum of Stakeholders of All Progressives Congress has endorsed President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The forum also promised to support the reelection bid of Governor Caleb Mutfwang.

The North-Central chairman of the forum, Saleh Zazzaga, stated this on Friday in Jos.

Mr Zazzaga said that the decision to support Messrs Tinubu and Mutfwang was taken at an expanded meeting with stakeholders of the forum on Thursday night.

“We have decided to adopt the green cap movement in Plateau because we believe that the time is now.

“Though Mutfwang is of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), we believe that he is doing well and we must support him to excel.

“We are also endorsing our president, Bola Tinubu, for 2027 because he is doing extremely well. We want Tinubu to continue with the reforms his administration is doing in order to reboot our economy and place it on the path of steady growth,” he said.

According to him, the majority of Nigerians are proud of the progress made by the Tinubu-led administration in the last two years.

Mr Zazzaga further stated that the endorsement of the president by the forum would enable him to consolidate the gains already achieved.

“Our endorsement is rooted in a comprehensive assessment of Tinubu’s transformative leadership.

“His unwavering commitment to national development and the tangible achievements recorded under his administration since he came to office in 2023 speak volumes.

“This is why the entire structure of our party in the north-central region met on Wednesday and endorsed President Bola Tinubu as our candidate in 2027,” he said.

The chairman, who called on Plateau residents to vote for Mr Mutfwang in 2027, also urged those from the North-Central states to vote for Mr Tinubu.

All the 22 governors elected on the platform of the APC had also thrown their weight behind Mr Tinubu’s 2027 reelection bid.
