50th Anniversary: Oyo govt orders early closure of offices for grand finale

The Oyo State government has approved early closure of offices in all ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) to enable public servants to attend the grand finale of the state’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
The directive was conveyed in a statement on Monday by the Secretary to the State Government, Musibau Babatunde. It directed all state government offices to close by noon on Tuesday.
It said Governor Seyi Makinde approved the workers’ participation in activities celebrating the golden jubilee anniversary.
The SSG said that heads of MDAs are to ensure strict compliance with the directive and make adequate arrangements for skeletal services in critical areas, where necessary.
Mr Babatunde also said the information should be given the widest publicity to ensure awareness and compliance across the state.
