82 suspects arrested in November in Kano: Police

The Kano State Police Command has announced the arrest of 82 suspects and the seizure of weapons, drugs, and stolen properties in November 2024.
In a statement on Friday, the command said the operations, conducted from November 1 to 14, 2024, were aimed at improving community and intelligence-led policing and targeted operations.
It said, “From 1st to 14th November 2024, the police command scale-up efforts in the implementation of robust community policing initiatives, intelligence-led policing and targeted operations in maintaining law and order, which is in line with the directives and vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM.
“These strategies have yielded positive results as they led to the arrest of a total of eighty-two (82) suspects and recovery of firearms, other dangerous weapons, illicit drugs and stolen properties.”
The command said the operations and achievements within the month emphasised its resolve to combat crimes and protect the lives and properties of residents.
