2023: Arewa youths register support for ‘sellable’ Tinubu as next president

A pro-Tinubu group, Arewa Youths for Tinubu/Shettima 2023, has described the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, as a “sellable’’ candidate deserving support.
In a statement on Tuesday, the national vice-chairman of the group’s advisory council, Muritala Audu, emphasised that Mr Tinubu’s footprints in Lagos could not be easily erased.
“The public show in support of the presidential candidate is premised on the fact that Asiwaju Tinubu is a sellable politician who has contributed tremendously to the growth of Nigeria.
“It is imperative that Nigerians support Tinubu’s presidential candidacy so that he can replicate Lagos State’s success stories across the country,’’ he stated.
Mr Audu noted that on Sunday, the Ogun-based Arewa youths declared support for Mr Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, and also backed the re-election bid of Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun.
He stated that the group registered its support in the heart of Ogijo town, Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun, through a solidarity walk.
The walk, he explained, was to create awareness on why Mr Tinubu should succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.
“The solidarity walk gathered significant momentum as residents and passers-by of the community joined in.
“They signalled their preference for Asiwaju Tinubu as president and Dapo Abiodun as continuing governor,’’ Mr Audu stressed.
