NSF: Kaduna, Edo win men, women beach volleyball

Team Bayelsa also beat Team Kebbi 2-0 (21-15, 21-19) to win the bronze medal in the men’s event.

Team Kaduna Beach Volleyball men on Friday beat Team Delta 2-1 (21-13, 14-21, 15-12) in a terse final match at the ongoing National Sports Festival (NSF) in Asaba, Delta.

In  the Women’s category, Team Edo with the duo of Francisca Ikhiede and Happy Wushilang overpowered Naomi Yaro and Esther Mbah of Kaduna state 2-0 (21-11, 21-10) to emerge gold medalists.

Team Delta was compensated when it claimed the bronze medal beating Team Lagos 2-0 (21-11, 21-11) to win the women’s event.

Team Bayelsa also beat Team Kebbi  2-0 (21-15, 21-19) to win the bronze medal in the men’s event.
