Fixtures: Premier League resumes on Boxing Day after World Cup break

The English Premier League will resume action on Boxing Day after a long World Cup break.
The league, like other football leagues around the world, took a mid-season halt on November 13 to allow players prosecute the World Cup for their national sides.
No fewer than 133 Premier League players from 26 nations were at the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup which was held between November 20 and December 18.
But on Boxing Day, hostilities will resume across England as teams struggle to maintain or improve on performance in the league which will enter its 16th week.
Brentford and Tottenham will lock horns in early kick off at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, while Crystal Palace and Fulham have their fixture by 4:00 p.m.
Everton play Wolves; Leicester will square off against Newcastle while Southampton welcome Brighton.
Much later, Aston Villa will host Liverpool at Villa Park at 6:30 p.m. as the Reds struggle to get their rhythm this season.
League leader, Arsenal, will face West Ham in the last game of the day as they look forward to keeping their four-point advantage over Manchester City atop the EPL log.
