NDLEA seized over 36,571 kg of hard drugs in Lagos: Official

The Lagos State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) seized solid and liquid hard drugs worth 36,571kg and 1,924 litres of hard drugs between January and June.
The state’s narcotic commandant, Isah Adoro, told journalists on Monday in Lagos that the drugs withdrawn from circulation included Cannabis, Cocaine, Methamphetamine and heroin.
He said others were “Tramadol, royphenol, pregabalin, lesofan, codeine syrup, molly and Diazepam, among others.”
He said in January, 8,323 kg and 1035 litres of solid and liquid hard substances were withdrawn; in February, above 4119 kg and 038.9 litres of solid and liquid substances were withdrawn.
“In March, 11,045 kg and 18.7 litres of solid and liquid substances were seized.
“In April, 1,035 kg and 10 litres; in May, 9385 kg and 8.5 litres and in June, 2,672 kg and 12.7 litres of illicit substances were seized,” he said.
While commending the command operatives, Mr Adoro reiterated that the agency would not relent until all the drug barons in the state were nabbed.
He further warned the criminal elements who profited from the illegal business to stop the evil act.
