Arsenal beat Liverpool 3-1 to keep title dream alive

In a fierce title chase, Arsenal beat Liverpool 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday in the English Premier League.
It was a struggle for crucial points between first-place Liverpool and Arsenal, pushing to cut the former’s lead margin from five points to two to keep their title dream alive.
Bukayo Saka opened scoring for the Gunners 14 minutes into the game. But Gabriel Magalhães deflected Reuben Diaz’s shot into the net for Liverpool to restore parity before the first-half break.
The Gunners returned into the second half, pushing hard to grab a win against Jürgen Klopp’s side.
A mistake between Alisson and Van Dijk left Gabriel Martinelli with an empty net, firing Arsenal ahead again in the 68th minute.
Liverpool were reduced to 10-man as Ibrahima Konate got a second yellow card and was sent off the pitch in the 88th minute, giving the Gunners an edge in the game.
With Liverpool down to 10-man, Leandro Trossard sealed the victory for Arsenal, scoring in the extra time.
Arsenal are now two points behind Liverpool with 49 points in 23 games.
Meanwhile, the outcome of Manchester City’s two outstanding games could see Liverpool and Arsenal trail City.
