Gunmen attack Capro missionary school in Jos, abduct four

Gunmen have yet again attacked another school, abducting four students of Capro Secondary Mission School located at Gana Ropp in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State on Thursday.
The Christian missionary school, also known as King’s School, is an arm of Calvary International Ministry in Plateau State. The school is just a few kilometres away from an airport in Jos.
According to a witness, Rev.Gideon Para-Mallam, the attackers broke the school fence and went into the school to abduct the students early this morning, TheWill News reported.
He noted, that three of the students escaped from the abductors with the intervention of security agencies who prevented them from taking the school children away. The abductors all fled the area when the security operatives reached the area.
Ubah Gabriel Ogaba, spokesperson for the Plateau State Police Command, told Peoples Gazette that the security agencies have been deployed to the area and police officers are after the attackers to rescue the victim.
“The Command received a report of abduction of a student pastor from King’s School, Gana Ropp in Barkin Ladi LGA. Tactical operatives have been deployed to the area. Concerted efforts are on towards rescuing the victim and arresting the perpetrators,” he said.
Recently, students of the Federal University of Agriculture, Markudi in Benue state were abducted from school.
Also, students of Greenfield University are still in captivity after spending 9 days with the abductors, six of the students have been murdered by the bandits.
However, this is not the first time Capro mission has been attacked by gunmen. Last year, the founder of the school, Pastor Bayo Famonure was attacked alongside his family. Mr Famonure miraculously survived with severe injuries.
