Sexual Violence: Cassie laments suffering in Diddy’s hands

Cassandra Ventura, aka Cassie, has revealed the sexual abuse she endured at the hands of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, speaking out for the first time since settling a lawsuit against the superstar in November 2023.
Cassie accused her ex-boyfriend of rape and sexual trafficking in the lawsuit, which concluded with a settlement.
“Thank you for all of the love and support from my family, friends, strangers, and those I have yet to meet,” Cassie said in an Instagram post on Thursday. “The outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now, but this is only the beginning.”
Cassie highlighted the devastating impact of domestic violence on her life, noting that it “broke me down to someone I never thought I would become.”
She added, “With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past.”
She called for greater empathy and belief in victims’ stories, urging people to take such matters seriously.
“My only ask is that everyone open your heart to believing victims the first time. It takes a lot of heart to tell the truth out of a situation that you were powerless in,” said Cassie.
Cassie’s statement came after CNN released a 2016 CCTV footage showing Diddy assaulting her and just days after Diddy issued a public apology.
Amidst all the drama in Diddy’s life, he was sued by a 22-year-old model, Crystal McKinney, again after apologising to Cassie.
The model narrated that Diddy had made suggestive remarks, offered to assist her career, and “plied her with alcohol,” after which he invited her to his studio in New York that same night and eventually assaulted her.
