Niger First Lady promotes OneNigeriaUnity fabric

The Niger State governor’s wife, Fatima Bago, on Wednesday inaugurated the distribution of the OneNigeria Unity Fabric Initiative in Minna, emphasising unity and strength in diversity.
She noted that the initiative was the brainchild of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, explaining that the event was to celebrate the nation’s cultural diversity and shared values.
“This fabric symbolises our unity as Nigerians. Every thread represents our shared hopes and dreams for a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria,” she said.
She said that Niger historically had been a beacon of peace and harmony and called citizens to support one another, especially the less-privileged in challenging times.
Mrs Bago emphasised unity as a collective responsibility, beginning with small acts of kindness within the communities.
She thanked the First Lady for her visionary leadership and encouraged citizens to wear the fabric with pride.
Fifty pieces of the unity fabrics were distributed to each of the 25 local government areas as well as some inter-tribal associations in the state.
Mrs Tinubu in September unveiled the OneNigeria Unity Fabric Initiative aimed at fostering unity across the country.
