The police have deployed anti-riot agents of their mobile force (MOPOL) across all 36 states and Abuja.
Police spokesman Frank Mba said this in a statement today.

He said, “The commissioners of police in the 36 states of the federation and the FCT are to identify and isolate law-breakers from peaceful protesters.

“The mandate of the police operatives is to secure lives and property.”
The #EndSARS unrest has destabilised parts of the country such as Lagos and Edo where people have been protesting against police brutality.

Some protesters have been attacked by armed groups and police have been mobbed in other cases. Amnesty International says more than 15 people have died so far.

Mr. Mbsa said 12 suspects have been arrested in connection with the prison break in Benin, Edo yesterday.
Lagos and Edo have set an indefinite 24-hour curfew to restore order.
