Thug Violence: Sanwo-Olu relaxes Lagos curfew
The Lagos State government has announced a relaxation of the 24-hour curfew put in place following violence that disrupted the #EndSARS protest on Monday.
Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu in a press conference on Friday announced the relaxation following his assessment of government facilities torched by hoodlums on Wednesday.
The new regulations allow residents to move from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. across the state.
The governor who was also at the Lekki Toll-Gate, venue of the massacre, showed reporters various CCTV at the centre and whose footage will help the state in investigating the participants in the shooting of protesters.
Peoples Gazette has not been unable to independently verify if the CCTVs were unaffected by the fire which consumed the toll gate a few hours after the shooting.
