Casualties of #LekkiMassacre have questions to answer: Tinubu

Bola Tinubu on Saturday said the casualties of Tuesday’s military shooting in Lagos also have questions to answer.
Mr. Tinubu in a media interview Saturday said an investigation should be conducted into the massacre, but its target should include both the perpetrators and victims. Casualties include both the dead and injured.
“Those who suffered casualties during gunshot need to answer some questions,” Mr. Tinubu said in a video broadcast by Arise TV. “How long were they there? What kind of characters are they?”
Mr. Tinubu’s statement came shortly after he met with Governor Jide Sanwo-Olu at the governor’s residence Saturday evening.
He described the governor as a youth who has been working tirelessly to resolve the dispute between #EndSARS protesters and the Buhari administration.
Mr. Tinubu has come under criticism for his alleged role in the attack, which was carried out by Nigerian soldiers at Lekki Toll-Gate on Tuesday evening. At least nine people were killed and scores wounded.
President Muhammadu Buhari has yet to confirm or deny his involvement in the controversial military deployment. But Lagosians have already blamed Mr. Tinubu for playing a role in it, which led thugs to set TVC, The Nation and other assets linked to him on fire.
