Crystal Palace manager Viera signs Nigerian-born attacker Olise

Crystal Palace new manager, Patrick Viera, has signed Nigerian-born attacker Micheal Akpovie Olise.
Olise, 19, is Viera’s first signing since the former Arsenal legend took over management of the club last week.
Crystal Palace Thursday announced Olise’s arrival to the club on their website.
“I had a conversation with the manager and he was talking about how he sees me in the team: the plans, the development and the vision for the club,” Olise told Palace TV. “It’s very good, so I thought it was a good fit.
Olise follows similar pathway into Palace as fellow Nigerian-born forward Ebere Eze who signed for the London side last summer.
Named EFL youngest player, Olise, played at Championship side Reading FC last season, netting seven goals in 46 appearances.
He made his debut for France U23 in 2019 but still has the opportunity to play for Nigeria. He was listed in Nigerian squad against Lesotho in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in March 2021.
