The command spokesman, SP Lawan Shiisu, confirmed this in a statement in Dutse on Thursday.

Mr Shiisu said the suspect also inflicted injuries on his neighbour’s daughter during the incident, which occurred on Wednesday in Gunka Village.

The suspect, name withheld, suspected to be mentally unstable, was alleged to have attacked his younger brother’s wife and his neighbour’s daughter with a pestle.

Mr Shiisu noted, “The tragic incident occurred at about 5:30 p.m, prompting an immediate response from a patrol team to the scene. The victims were rushed to the General Hospital, Jahun for medical attention.
