NECO releases 2025 BECE results

Mr Sani stated that the award committee approved the date and timetable for the 2025 BECE resit.

The National Examinations Council has released the results of the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

This is contained in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja, by the Acting Director, Information and Public Relations, NECO, Azeez Sani.

Mr Sani said that 179, 201 candidates registered for the examination in 12 subjects which commenced on May 12 and successfully concluded on May 23.

He said, “The results of the examination were released following the successful conclusion of the 2025 BECE Award Committee Meeting held at the council’s headquarters in Minna. During the meeting, the chairperson of the committee, Director, Basic Education, Federal Ministry of Education, Dr Folake Olatunji-David, expressed satisfaction with the processes leading to the successful release of the results. The meeting was also attended by some secondary school principals from across the country as well as NECO management.’’

Mr Sani added that the award committee however approved the date and timetable for the 2025 BECE resit.

He disclosed that the resit examination had been scheduled to hold between July 23 and 24 for Mathematics and English Studies.
