Buhari’s death great loss to Nigeria, says MAN

The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) has mourned the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing his demise as a great loss to the country.
MAN President, Francis Meshioye, said this in a statement on Tuesday in Lagos in reaction to the former president’s death on Sunday.
Mr Meshioye noted that during Mr Buhari’s tenure from 2015 to 2023, he implemented policies that promoted economic growth, improved infrastructure, and enhanced industrial development.
He added that his tenure brought attention to the importance of manufacturing as a driver of economic development and job creation.
He said though the economy experienced difficulties during his tenure, Mr Buhari granted manufacturers an audience as they proffered solutions to the challenges limiting the performance of the manufacturing sector.
Mr Meshioye further stated that the late president also provided solutions to some of the challenges confronting manufacturers.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, associates, and all Nigerians during this solemn time. As the nation reflects over the life and career of former President Muhammadu Buhari, MAN calls upon all Nigerians to honour his memory,” the statement said.
MAN advised the federal government to reflect over Mr Buhari’s policies and recommit to the creation of a conducive atmosphere for sustainable economic development.
