Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has congratulated the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the emergence of Nentawe Yilwatda as the party’s new national chairman.

Mr Yilwatda was elected on Thursday during the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja.

In a statement on Friday by his chief press secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, Mr Aiyedatiwa commended the APC leadership for a smooth and peaceful transition.

He expressed confidence that Mr Yilwatda’s leadership would strengthen the party and set it on course for resounding victories in future elections.

“The emergence of Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda is a turning point for our great party.

“His proven capacity to organise and reposition the APC gives us renewed hope,” Mr Aiyedatiwa stated.

He also lauded President Bola Tinubu for consistently identifying capable leaders, describing Mr Yilwatda’s selection as a reflection of Mr Tinubu’s strategic leadership style.

“The future is green for our party, and we have made a great choice, one that will positively impact the people of Nigeria,” he added.
