Labour Party remains only credible alternative to APC: Nenadi Usman

The interim national chairman of the Labour Party, Nenadi Usman, says the party remains the only credible alternative to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ms Usman made the assertion while speaking with journalists on Sunday in Kafanchan, headquarters of Jema’a Local Government Area.
She implored Nigerians to keep faith with the party as it was the most people-centred among the nation’s leading political parties.
“We are committed to restoring national dignity, hope, and delivering people-centred governance,” she stated.
The acting chair lamented that the suffering of the masses “had reached an alarming rate.”
On the defection of some LP members to the APC, Ms Usman maintained that the party remained unshaken and would continue to enjoy the support of the masses.
She explained that some who left the party never truly shared its vision, adding that their exit had brought clarity and strengthened internal cohesion.
“We made some mistakes in candidates’ selection, but those lessons have been learned.
“Going forward, we will be more deliberate in choosing those who genuinely align with our mission of building a new Nigeria,” she stated.
Ms Usman appealed to the aggrieved members to “sheathe their swords and close ranks” as the LP prepares to commence a nationwide membership revalidation exercise, congresses, and a national convention.
