The newly appointed general manager of Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA), Divine Ogbonnaya, has promised to amplify Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s proactive measures in bringing back the agency’s lost glory.

Mr Ogbonnaya made the promise at a meeting with staff members of the agency in Akure on Monday.

He said that professional initiatives would enhance good results that would bring Sunshine Stars and Sunshine Queens back to the elite leagues.

The general manager said that proactiveness and professionalism, as well as inclusivity, would thrive during his tenure to achieve the desired goal.

Mr Ogbonnaya, who described Mr Aiyedatiwa as an administrator with exceptional qualities, assured of his commitment to football development in the state.

He stated, “The number one citizen is a leader with many great qualities. He doesn’t talk much, but he is an achiever, and his style of governance is exemplary. We are more than ready to make him proud. With God and your support, we shall achieve together.’’

Mr Ogbonnaya urged staff members to be diligent, professional and dutiful and shun any form that would portray them as being subversive while discharging their duties.

He said the newly appointed committee members were individuals willing to achieve with a promise to give priority to players and staff welfare.

The Director of Finance and Administration, Banji Kuroloja, welcomed the new general manager and assured him of the staff members’ support.
