NECO Exams: Police assure Kogi pupils, teachers of adequate protection against terrorists, kidnappers

The police command in Kogi has assured the National Examination Council of adequate security during its external examination, which commences in the state on Wednesday.

The police commissioner, Naziru Kankarofi, gave the assurance on Tuesday during a courtesy visit by the NECO coordinator in Kogi, Thaddeus Ajabu.

Mr Kankarofi said that security personnel had been deployed across all examination centers in the state to ensure seamless examinations. He reassured parents and candidates about adequate security and safety throughout the examination period.

Earlier in his remarks, Mr Ajabu told the police boss that the visit was aimed at strengthening institutional collaboration and securing adequate security cover for candidates during the examination period.

The coordinator said that the external examination, which would commence on Wednesday, deserved enhanced security.

He expressed gratitude to the police command for the proactive measures, while acknowledging the commissioner’s efforts to secure the examination environment and ensure a smooth exercise.
