LASU School of Transport to find solution to Lagos traffic

Agencies under the Lagos ministry of transportation are expected to work together with the school of transport to effectively transform the sector.

The Lagos State University (LASU) School of Transport has been charged by the Lagos government to find solutions to the traffic issues bedevilling the state.

The collaboration between the state and LASU would address challenges in traffic management and transportation in the state.

Frederic Oladeinde, state commissioner for transportation, said this when a top delegation of the school paid him a courtesy visit in Lagos on Tuesday.

According to the statement by a public affairs official of the ministry, Jedidiah Omisore, the commissioner urged the academia to take the study of transportation higher by coming up with solutions peculiar to the state.

Mr Oladeinde said agencies under the ministry of transportation would work together with the school of transport to effectively transform the sector.

Dean of LASU School of Transport, Charles Asenime, said the ministry’s involvement would provide field knowledge and sharpen the creativity of the students.
