President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has met with Kirill Dmitriev, Russian special presidential envoy for foreign investment and economic cooperation.

During the meeting, Mr Dmitriev conveyed greetings from Russian President Vladimir Putin and expressed appreciation to the UAE for hosting U.S.-Russia-Ukraine trilateral talks aimed at promoting dialogue and solutions to the Ukraine crisis.

The two sides discussed strengthening bilateral economic, investment, and development cooperation.

They also exchanged views on several issues of mutual interest.

Russia and Ukraine engaged directly during the talks that concluded Saturday in the UAE, although no concrete agreements or joint statements were announced following the two-day meetings, which also involved the United States.
