Police arrested #EndSARS demonstrators in front of the National Assembly this morning, according to an organiser Adebayo Ralph.

Mr. Ralph says the demonstrators had gathered there and were creating protest art when the police tried to stop the demonstration and arrested four of them. The group had also protested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Sunday.

In Lagos yesterday, police also threatened to stifle any protests even though the constitution guarantees all citizens the freedom to assemble peacefully.

There was severe rioting in the state after the army shot protesters in Lekki on October 20. The police in Lagos have described the latest protests as ‘plans to orchestrate another set of destruction’, although the evidence shows that #EndSARS demonstrators have been peaceful.
