Wasiu Ismail, chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC), Eredo Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, has expressed confidence that the party will win all elective positions in the state in 2027.

Mr Ismail expressed this in an interview with journalists in Lagos on Sunday.

Mr Ismail said that APC would secure victory in the House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate and presidential elections.

He added that the party had mapped out strategies to achieve the goal.

“APC will win all the positions, from the House of Assembly to the House of Representatives, Senate and the presidency in Lagos State and beyond.

“All strategies to achieve this have been mapped out ,” he said.

He said the party would intensify aggressive publicity, door-to-door campaigns and mobilisation of members as part of its strategies to secure victory at the grassroots.

“We will take our campaign to the doorsteps of the people through aggressive publicity, orientation and enlightenment of members, door-to-door campaigns and effective mobilisation of our party members,” he said.

The LGA chairman urged eligible party members and supporters to take advantage of the ongoing membership registration exercise and ensure that they obtained their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the election.

“I am appealing to all our members to participate actively in the membership registration exercise and ensure that they obtain their PVCs because voting is the most important way to translate our support into electoral victory,” he said.

Mr Ismail also called for unity among APC members, particularly those who had grievances, saying that all differences must be resolved in the overall interest of the party.

“Unity must prevail in the APC. All aggrieved members should come together, resolve their differences and work for the overall interest and victory of the party,” he said.

He expressed optimism that Dr Obafemi Hamzat, the APC gubernatorial candidate, would perform excellently if elected as governor of Lagos State.

The chieftain added that the APC gubernatorial candidate was a capable and experienced politician who understood the development needs of the state.

“I believe Hamzat will perform very well if elected as governor because he has the experience and capacity to consolidate the achievements of the present administration,” he said.

The APC chieftain said the administration of President Bola Tinubu had a clear vision and mission for the country, urging Nigerians to remain patient as government policies and programmes continued to yield results.

“President Bola Tinubu has a vision and a mission to accomplish that vision.

“There is light at the end of the tunnel, and Nigerians should remain hopeful and supportive of the ongoing reforms,” he said.

Mr Ismail urged APC members across Lagos State to close ranks, intensify grassroots mobilisation and ensure that the party’s campaign messages reached every community before the 2027 election.

“Our members must remain united and committed at the grassroots because victory will not come by words alone.

“We must work for it in every ward, polling unit and community,” he said.

He urged all APC members and supporters to come out en masse on election day and vote for the party’s candidates.

Mr Ismail added that massive turnout would be crucial to translating the party’s grassroots support into electoral victory.

“I call on all APC members to come out en masse and vote for our candidates during the 2027 general election.

“We must protect our votes and ensure victory for the party at all levels,” he said.
