Emir of Zazzau pledges support for improved hajj administration efficiency

The Emir of Zazzau, Ahmed Bamalli, has assured the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) of the traditional institution’s support and called for more efficient operations for Nigerian pilgrims.
According to a statement on Wednesday,
Mr Bamalli gave the assurance when he visited NAHCON’s chairman and chief executive officer, Ismail Yusuf, in Abuja.
The emir commended the commission’s leadership for its ongoing efforts to reform hajj operations. He said managing the logistics for tens of thousands of pilgrims is a monumental responsibility requiring high levels of dedication, transparency and strategic planning.
Mr Bamalli restated that the Zazzau Emirate, as well as the traditional institution at large, remains a critical stakeholder in mobilising and sensitising intending pilgrims to ensure a seamless Hajj exercise.
He said the comfort, safety and well-being of Nigerian pilgrims must remain paramount as they embark on this significant spiritual journey to fulfil their religious obligation.
“Hajj is a significant spiritual journey, and the comfort, safety, and well-being of our people while fulfilling this religious obligation must remain paramount.
Mr Bamalli said such measures would help the commission overcome recurring operational challenges associated with the organisation and administration of Hajj for Nigerian pilgrims.
