U.S. Attacks: Iran’s IRGC threatens to invade countries, strike American military bases

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has threatened to attack neighbouring countries and American bases amid renewed attacks from the United States.
“Our defence doctrine was previously defensive. We used to say that if a country attacks us, we will respond. Now we say that if a country attacks us, we will both respond and launch an offensive,” IRGC spokesman Hossein Mohebi stated in a statement on Wednesday.
The warning came amid escalating attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, a global energy route through which one-fifth of the world’s oil supplies passed before war started in February.
Reports indicated that the U.S. ordered some diplomatic personnel to leave Saudi Arabia amid attacks from Yemen’s Houthis.
Mr Mohebi noted Tehran would no longer limit its military operations to retaliatory strikes.
According to him, Iran’s missile stockpile had increased 1.5 times since the 12-day war between Iran and Israel in June 2025.
“The quality of the missiles has improved significantly, and their range, destructive power and accuracy in hitting targets have increased,” the spokesman added.
He noted that Iranian forces were in the “stage of preparing to unveil the ‘father of all bombs’, adding it “is something new for the enemy”.
“The U.S. military must know that if this trend continues, the conflict will extend to its bases in the region. This is a serious warning,” Mr Mohebi added.
