Tinubu orders security agents to probe killing of Islamic cleric in Katsina

President Bola Tinubu has directed the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies to intensify investigations into the killing of Islamic preacher, Sheikh Yahaya Masussuka, and his friend, Adamu Abubakar, in Katsina State.
The duo were killed by gunmen in a drive-by shooting incident on Monday evening in Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State.
Mr Tinubu condemned the killings, describing the incident as heinous and an assault on the values of peace and the sanctity of human life.
This is contained in a statement by Presidential Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, on Tuesday in Abuja.
The President extended his condolences to the families of the deceased, their followers, as well as the government and people of Katsina State.
He directed the police and other relevant security agencies to intensify investigations already being carried out by the Katisina State policecommand, and ensure the perpetrators were apprehended and brought to justice.
Mr Tinubu prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased and comfort for all those mourning their loss.
