Police recover stolen vehicle in Ogun

The police command in Ogun says it recovered a stolen and unregistered Lexus ES350 saloon car in Ondo.
In a statement on Friday, Oluseyi Babaseyi, the command’s spokesman, said the Special Weapons and Tactics Squad of police recovered the vehicle.
“The recovery followed a report received on 15 September 2026 that suspected armed robbers had snatched a red Lexus ES350 saloon car at about 0200hrs in the Ogijo area of Ogun State,” said the police officer.
He stated that the vehicle had no registration number.
Mr Babaseyi explained that, acting on the report, the officer-in-charge of SWAT, Obeh Eneye, directed operatives to commence investigations and pursue available leads to recover the vehicle and identify those responsible.
“Sustained investigative efforts subsequently led to the discovery of the vehicle in Ondo State. SWAT operatives facilitated its recovery and conveyed it to the Ogun State Police Command,” he said.
He added that investigations were ongoing to apprehend other suspects connected with the incident and recover any additional stolen property.
