On Wednesday, the Lagos Division of the Federal High Court ordered a former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode to pay a fine of N200,000 for failing to appear in court for his re-arraignment on the excuse of having bed rest.

The court had asked counsel to Mr Fani-Kayode, F. Ajudua, to choose between revoking the bail of the second defendant or paying the fine.

Mr Fani-Kayode recently defected from PDP to the APC, describing President Muhammadu Buhari as a leader determined to salvage Nigerians from ongoing economic and security challenges.
