Nigerians mock Fashola over outrageous claim on federal roads
Nigerians have criticised works minister Babatunde Fashola for falsely claiming that Nigerian roads are of global standards.
While listing the achievements of the Buhari government on infrastructure on Tuesday, Mr. Fashola claimed that Nigerian roads are of global standards.
Outraged by Mr. Fashola’s claim, citizens who have continued to suffer the country’s deplorable road conditions took to their Twitter to call the minister out.
A Twitter user, Gabriel Popoola, said Mr. Fashola is disconnected with the reality in the country.
“It appears Mr Fashola now lives in a different ‘Nigeria’. Or, is he being troubled within?” Mr. Popoola tweeted.
“He’s suffering from mouth stooling, another citizen,” @Showbaba40 tweeted.

Another Twitter user, Seun Raji, also recalled the former Lagos governor’s recent stunt during his visit to Lekki Toll Gate, scene of the October 20 massacre of #EndSARS protesters.
“The inspector is back. His assessment is absolutely ‘fascinating’. As a lawyer, he knows the job of a civil engineer much better than the professional,” Mr. Raji said. “Someone should let him know that political gluttony often leads kwashiorkor of the mind and body.”
