Para-soccer: Team FCT thrash Kebbi 7-0

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) para-soccer team thrashed their Kebbi counterpart 7-0 in the opening match of the maiden edition of the International Disabled Day Para-soccer Championship.
The Para-soccer Federation of Nigeria (PFN), in collaboration with the National Commission For Persons with Disability, organised the first edition of the championship.
In the match played at the Old Parade Ground, Muhammad Shuaibu of FCT opened the scoring in the 13th minute. Mohammed Abba doubled the tally four minutes later, and he went on to score the third goal of the game in the 24th minute.
Mubarak Usman scored their fourth goal in the 26th minute.
In the second half, Ibrahim Adamu scored the fifth goal for FCT in the 31st minute. Ismail Yahya registered his name by scoring the sixth and the seventh in the 36th and 43rd minute to take the match beyond their opponent.
Speaking after the match, the FCT coach, Umaru Faruk, said he was happy that his players won the first game in the championship.
Nasiru Saliu, coach of Kebbi, said his team did not play well.
“I’m not happy with the outcome of this match. My players did not play to instruction. I hope we will improve in our next match against Nasarawa tomorrow,” he said.
