Police seek to recruit 10,000 Enugu indigenes as constables

The police command in Enugu says the mop-up screening for applicants in the ongoing 2021 recruitment of 10,000 constables has been extended.
The screening, which involves physical and credentials screening across all 17 local government areas, has been extended to February 8.
“Successful applicants in the ongoing 2021 recruitment of 10,000 police constables into the Nigeria Police from the 17 LGAs are hereby informed that date for the mop-up exercise of those who have not been screened has been extended to Tuesday, February 8,” the police said in a statement on Monday.
The command’s spokesperson Daniel Ndukwe added that the mop-up exercise would start by 7:30 a.m. at the Senior Police Officers’ Mess, Agbani Road, Enugu.
The spokesman had in January explained that a mop-up exercise for those who missed the screening would hold on Monday, February 7.
Meanwhile, he disclosed that no fewer than 309 applicants from the state had been screened as of Monday morning.
