Rangers will defeat Lobi Stars in Awka: Official

Rangers International says they’re confident of defeating Lobi Stars in their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match on Saturday.
Rangers of Enugu will host Lobi Stars of Makurdi at their adopted home at Awka Township Stadium, Anambra, in their match day 19 encounter.
Rangers’ Media Officer, Norbert Okolie, in an interview with reporters in Enugu on Friday, said the players had promised the club management a win in the match.
Also, Rangers FC Captain, Tope Olusesi, said the expectation of the team’s supporters is total victory over Lobi.
“It is going to be a difficult game because Lobi Stars are a good side and right now, they are not in a good position on the NPFL log table.
“Losing at home last week, Lobi will like to prove something here in Awka, but we are determined to win as we have no option.
“Winning the match will enhance our chances of being crowned league champions at the end of the season,” Olusesi said.
Also speaking, Rangers’ striker and former Lobi Stars’ player, Ossy Martins, said that the good condition of the new Awka Stadium would aid their victory.
“With a very good pitch like what we have in Awka, I have the strong belief that we shall harvest a lot of goals against my former club, Lobi Stars.
“It is going to be a maximum three points for us. Our fans should keep the support as we are going to make them proud,” Martins said.
Meanwhile, Rangers Coach, Abdul Maikaba, appreciated the fact that no two games are the same which he had made clear to his players.
“I have told my players that no two games are the same, but I am sure that we are fully prepared to get all three points at stake to make our title aspirations realistic.
“With a good pitch like the one we have at Awka City Stadium, we shall be able to express ourselves well and hopefully, crown it with a harvest of goals,” Maikaba said.
Rangers occupies the third position with 31 points in the NPFL log table while Lobi Stars is ranked 17 with 19 points after both teams had played 18 matches each.
