The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has reiterated its commitment to boost investment opportunities to ensure Nigeria’s economic growth.

The president of ACCI, Emeka Obegolu, told journalists in Abuja on Sunday that the chamber would ensure this through collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

”The ACCI, in partnership with Cityscape Ltd, is developing an ultramodern shopping centre/market along the ACCI Complex on Airport Road.

“This shopping centre/market will be the first of its kind in Abuja and will be delivered fully completed before the end of this year.

“There are lots of investment opportunities within the project, and I urge you to key into this opportunity for national development,” Mr Obegolu said.

The ACCI president said the chamber had been at the fore of promoting ease of doing business, supporting and creating an efficient workforce to support businesses.

”The chamber partnered with the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) to advocate specific reforms.

”Such reforms like reducing the number of days required for registering a business and improving the efficiency of customs clearance processes.

“These reforms resulted in a significant improvement in Nigeria’s Ease of Doing Business ranking,” he said.

Mr Obegolu recalled that the ACCI set up the Business Entrepreneurship Skills and Technology (BEST) Centre to address the gap in an efficient workforce to support businesses.

He said the BEST Centre aimed to provide comprehensive and industry-demand capacity development and training opportunities to empower individuals and organisations to drive economic growth and ensure sustainable development.

Mr Obegolu said the chamber was also making other collaborative efforts to drive the economy, from empowering entrepreneurs to fostering innovation, advocating change, and opening doors to the world.

”The ACCI is part of the collaboration in the engine driving Nigeria’s economic journey towards a brighter future.

”Our continuing appeal to stakeholders is, let us join hands, support ACCI’s initiatives, and together watch Nigeria’s economic landscape reach its full potential,” he said.
