ADC worries over disunity among Adamawa party leaders

The national headquarters of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Wednesday expressed concern over growing divisions within the party’s leadership in Adamawa State.
The party expressed the concern in a communique issued by its national publicity secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, in Abuja, calling for reconciliation and unity among party leaders in the state.
Mr Abdullahi recalled that during its meeting on October 8, the National Working Committee (NWC) approved the formation of Interim Executive Committees to temporarily manage party affairs across all states.
He said, “Following thorough investigations, the party affirmed that the October 25 process, supervised by the national vice chairman (North East), which produced Sadiq Dasin, a barrister, as interim chairman, aligned with NWC’s directives.’’
The party, therefore, urged members involved in separate arrangements to reconsider and embrace reconciliation.
He also encouraged the new interim chairman to foster unity and address genuine grievances.
Mr Abdullahi reiterated the party’s commitment to fairness, justice, and addressing valid concerns but warned against any act of indiscipline that could undermine efforts to strengthen internal democracy.
