AFCON 2023: Peter Obi present as Super Eagles take on Angola in crucial quarter-final clash
Peter Obi of the Labour Party is present at the Félix Houphouët Boigny Stadium in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, as Nigeria lead Angola at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations ongoing quarter-final match.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles are in pursuit of a fourth continental title in Côte d’Ivoire, following the victory over Cameroon in their round of 16 tie last week.
The former Anambra state governor, wearing the Nigerian colour green, could be seen seated among members of a Super Eagles Supporters’ Club in the general stands.
At the time of filing this report, the Super Eagles lead Angola 1-0, courtesy of Ademola Lookman’s goal.
