African Games: Handball Federation invites 26 players to camp

The Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) on Saturday invited 26 players to camp ahead of the upcoming African Games in Ghana.
The senior men’s handball national team have begun intensive camping in Abuja ahead of the 13th Africa Games.
The team, which recently won the President’s Cup at the Africa Handball Nations Cup in Egypt, will be Nigeria’s sole representative in the handball event at the African Games.
Solomon Yola, the team’s coach, told journalists that the players will represent the country well in Ghana.
“These players have been busy with training since the beginning of the year, and they also participated in the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
”We will use this camping as a medium to correct all the lapses we observed before now.
”All the departments of the team will be thoroughly reinforced before we leave Nigeria for Ghana for the tournament,” the coach said.
The 26 players invited to camp included Joseph Gbawuan, Daniel Bello, Mohammed Anas, Salami Damilare, Shagari John, Solomon Agbaji, and Dikko Ibrahim.
Others are Ojo Nohuoman, Iortyer Stephen, Olaye Mathew, Ani Obinna, Mohammed Abbas, Okwor Obinna, Cole Gbenga, Yusuf Faruk, Rotibi Gbenga, Sunday Samson, and Adamolugbe.
The rest are, Babatunde, Dele Gbenga, Igwekire Joseph, Atabo Sunday, Foloki Christian, Kasim Yazid, Ajibike Akanni, Sulaimon Olaitan, and Nwaiwu Patrick.
