Analysis shows 2023 elections is three-horse race but Tinubu ‘ll win: Gbajabiamila

Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has predicted victory for Bola Tinubu, his party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election.
Speaking with party faithful at his Surulere, Lagos base on Friday, Mr Gbajabiamila said though the troves of data and analysis at his disposal shows next year’s presidential election would be a three-horse race, Mr Tinubu of the ruling APC will emerge winner based on his antecedents.
“From all indications, there are three main candidates for the election. We know the records of everyone, we know what they did and what they did not do.
“Two were former governors and we know the one whose records are enduring and we know how the other people performed while in office.
“But one thing is a fact: there is none out of the three candidates that has the records of Tinubu.
“He is the best of them all and I don’t have any doubt in my mind that he will win come 2023”, he boasted.
The Speaker charged party members to work assiduously to deliver the former Lagos governor and all the candidates sponsored by the All Progressives Congress at the polls.
“Next year’s election is going to be an important one in our nation, and we all need to make the right decision,” he said.
Mr Gbajabiamila was in the entourage of Mr Tinubu that visited former president Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta on Wednesday. He said the outcome of the consultation indicated that the APC candidate was on his way to victory.
“Obasanjo spoke at length and we were all happy. He embraced our candidate like a brother, gave him a pat on the back, and prayed for him copiously,” he said.
Messrs Obasanjo and Tinubu, though from the same ethnic Yoruba stock have haboured longstanding political animosity towards each other.
