A support group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), Youth Structure for Asiwaju, has pledged to mobilise six million young Nigerians to vote for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

The group’s Convener, Dr Michael Nwoko, stated this during an interview with journalists at the APC National Secretariat on Monday in Abuja.

Mr Nwoko stated that the initiative targeted youths, especially first-time voters turning 18.

He said the group would deploy all necessary tools to secure votes for Mr Tinubu, whom he described as having “repositioned the country on a path of economic growth and development.”

According to him, Mr Tinubu’s policies demonstrate his commitment to youth empowerment and national progress, adding that supporting his re-election would serve the long-term interests of Nigerian youths.

He explained that the group aimed to use a data-driven process to identify young Nigerians of voting age and integrate them into a nationwide mobilisation network across zonal, state, and local government levels.

He stated, “We will engage youths constructively and build an organic followership from among them. Our sustainable database will ensure we reach about ten million youths in the coming months.’’

He added that the group’s overarching goal was to deliver six million votes for Mr Tinubu in 2027 and ensure a sweeping victory for all APC candidates in the general elections.

During the 2023 elections, Mr Nwoko said the APC had learned valuable lessons and would not be caught unprepared again, stressing that opposition movements would not pose a threat in 2027.

“We have concluded that what happened in 2023 will not happen again. The president has addressed those gaps, and we are fully ready for the next election,” he stated.
