Arsenal continue winning streak, brush aside Bournemouth
Arsenal continued their winning streak in the English Premier League this season, brushing aside Bournemouth.
Arsenal whipped Bournemouth 3-0 on Saturday.
The Gunners got a deserved win at Vitality Stadium, dominating the game from the blast of the whistle and scoring two goals in the first 11 minutes of the game.
The Arsenal skipper, Martin Odegaard, gave the Gunners the lead barely five minutes into the game. He doubled Arsenal’s lead in the 11th minute, putting the home side behind into the first-half break.
The Gunners returned into the second half looking much stronger as William Saliba delivered a brilliant left-foot strike to make it three for Arsenal in the 54th minute.
A few minutes after Gabriel Jesus’ goal was ruled offside after a VAR check, Aaron Ramsdale made a brilliant save, punching Kieffer Moore’s header over the bar.
With Saturday’s win, Arsenal are the first team to win their first three games this season. The Gunners are winning their first three matches in the EPL for the first time since the 2004/05 season.
Arsenal are now top on the EPL log with nine points in three games, pending the outcome of Manchester City’s game during the weekend.
Meanwhile, Everton played a 1-1 draw against newly promoted Nottingham Forest at Goodison Park courtesy of a late equaliser by Demarai Gray.
Joe Aribo’s Southampton came from behind to beat Leicester City 2-1, while Wilfried Zaha scored twice as Crystal Palace beat Aston Villa 3-1.
