Assailants stab Suleja trader to death, wife hospitalised

A trader, Mustapha Musa, has been allegedly stabbed to death at his residence behind the Niger Motel in Suleja.
A police report on Monday indicated that the stabbing was reported at the A Division in Suleja.
According to the report, the attackers stormed the victim’s residence at about 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, stabbed him to death and took away his phones and motorcycle.
Police operatives visited the scene and evacuated the corpse to the General Hospital, Suleja.
The deceased was a trader at the Babangida Modern Market, Suleja. He is survived by three wives and 11 children.
Amina Mohammed, the first wife of the deceased, said she heard her husband screaming until she could no longer hear his voice. The second wife, in whose room the attack reportedly occurred, was hospitalised following the stabbing.
Jamila Usman, sister to one of the wives, said three men entered the house, although she could not confirm whether there were others outside the gate. According to her, the victim offered to give them money, but they refused and stabbed him in the stomach.
“They did not leave until they confirmed that he was dead. They took his two phones, one of the wives’ phones, his ATM card and motorcycle,” Ms Usman said.
The police command it was investigating the case.
